About the staff at Perfect Smiles

At Perfect Smiles, our mission is your care. Whether you need a great deal of dental work or just a cleaning, our job is to make your life easier and more comfortable. While we're extremely proud of the knowledge and experience of our practitioners, it's their thoughtfulness that keeps our patients coming back appointment after appointment and year after year.

Dr. David Ahearn, founder of Perfect Smiles, has well over two decades of expertise in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and takes great satisfaction in making fearful and apprehensive patients relaxed and comfortable through sedation dentistry. He has been restoring teeth with dental implants since 1982 and is the areas first Invisalign certified Cosmetic Dentist. Dr. Ahearn is a faculty member at New York University School of Dentistry and teaches advanced programs across the country and in American Dental Association sanctioned lectures.

Dr. Andrea Ghenta graduated from New York University Dental School in 1995. She completed her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City where she was influenced by the nations top restorative and cosmetic dentists. After leaving a private practice in Manhattan, Dr. Ghenta joined Perfect Smiles. Dr. Ghenta is a firm believer in continuing education and has continually trained in advanced cosmetic and implant dentistry during her 13 years of practice.

Dr. Alan Merchanthouse comes to Perfect Smiles with extensive experience in advanced esthetic and reconstructive dentistry, including the placement and restoration of dental implants, as well as minimally invasive microdentistry. Dr. Merchanthouse is certified in dental laser use by the internationally recognized Academy of Laser Dentistry and the Biolase World Clinical Laser Institute.
